SA gets dudded by Channel 9 again...

Roxby Downs comes alive with Rugby League action

This weekend gone,  saw ODB play a very welcome Spencer Gulf Titans side in Roxby Downs.

Score irrelevant, it was good to see League back in town, as it looked unlikey due to many factors which have unravelled over the previous few months.

The start of the match saw a moments silence for a much missed Pirt Pirie Pirates and Rep player, and the game itself welcomed no more than 8 new players for the #BlueRedYellow ODB club. All of which have previous experience in either code, will no doubt raise the level of our club, and Rugby League in the area.

The Titans and Andrew Unger who invited players from Port Pirie, Port Augusta and as far as Adelaide turned up to play, including some outstanding SA CrowKnees players.  You'll hopefully spread the word of what we have to offer up here.

The game was followed by an amazing dinner, and player awards which saw everyone back to our clubrooms at the Roxby Downs Golf Club. This was a fantastic evening and I hope all who attended enjoyed themselves.

From a personal aspect I'd like to thank the many people behind the scenes, who assisted in the preparation and execution of the day, very much appreciated.

And to the Titans, thanks for coming and we will see you again on the 2nd June.

Everyone please enjoy Michael Nelson photographs of the game.
